II. INTRODUCTION
Most of the traditional chargers and simple chargers are made up of industrial frequency transformers and rectifier circuits (silicon-controlled rectifiers (SCR)). Even use the silicon-controlled rectifier to adjust the AC mains supply to charge the battery. Though this circuit is simple, it has disadvantages:

Big volume and high weight, not convenient for transportation and use |

Lacking protection function, bad reliability |

Must manually adjust the charge current, difficult to fully charge and avoid overcharging the battery. |

Silicon-controlled rectifier adjusts the AC mains supply to charge the battery directly. Then there is no isolation with AC mains supply which is dangerous to get an electric shock. And it will damage the AC mains supply waveform. |
